I came across this post that highlights a video from the open thinking website…basically the original post highlights 80+ videos on teaching today (and technology related “things”). However, I particularly like the video highlighted on Digital Education because of the five components of 21st century teaching:
- personality
- curriculum
- pedagogy
- practice
- TECHNOLOGY
And I had to laugh when I saw “sure you can teach without technology…but why would you want to?” SO TRUE! But as always, it’s not about transforming English class into a tech-only realm; it’s about engaging students with 21st century skills that they use and need! (I feel another blog in the works on the 5 components listed here and how they relate to my classroom…hmmm)
