First of all, if you haven’t checked out the K12 Online Conference you are really missing out! This website has a smorgasbord of presentations on tons of great ideas and how-to’s of integrating web 2.0 and other technologies into the classroom. In my recent PD adventures, I ran across the presentation on a video annotation tool called VideoAnt developed by a crew at the University of Minnesota.
Here is my response on the presentation and my ideas on how I could use it within the classroom (especially since I do a lot of multimedia/video production projects). I really think a tool like this in addition to a rubric based form of assessment could be very helpful for students as they work on their creations…as well as provide an opportunity for students to better help each other with drafts and collaborate on projects.
